Mixed Media, Crazy Birds and Baba Yaga!

 Well 2021 is more than half over and we are still batting the pandemic.  Thankfully, my immediate family and close friends are now fully vaccinated!

I have been busy creating and my latest project was first a dive into mixed media canvases.  I made five canvases using YOUTube as inspiration and instructions.  I am pleased with the results:














Then I found a new pattern by the amazing creator Jill Maas and had to make a few of her faux bird taxidermy "dolls":












Finally, I wanted to share my time in Courtney with four friends and a week of making Arley Berryhill's incredible pattern Baba Yaga.  It was such fun and all the dolls turned out great:

We made her accessories of course, totem birds, totem necklaces and staff:

Crows, Crows, Crows

 I am sure we are all happy that 2020 is behind us.  I started off the year by making one of my favourites things - crows.  I used both cloth and polymer clay.  here are the results:

Etsy Victoria Artisan Holiday Pop Up Show

 What a crazy year!  We are all trying to stay safe while still enjoying day to day life.

Markets have been closed but we have been fortunate to set up a retail holiday shop for one week only to allow artisans to display and sell their creations to the public. 

Here is my set up for the week: these are the photos in my garage when I was trying it out.  The actual set up is on my Facebook page.  I concentrated on smaller cost items that would be suitable for the young and young at heart.
